Order of the Lily and the Eagle
These podcasts on the Spiritual Insights of Marie Routchine, founder of the Order of the Lily and the Eagle, were assembled from a series of conversations recorded in late summer 2019 between two long time members of the Order, Kevin Pugh and Larry Van Vleet, to show how Marie’s unique understanding of traditional spiritual work can practically assist anyone interested in developing themselves first as an individual and then, ultimately, as an enlightened contributor to society. Marie founded the Order of the Lily and the Eagle a little over 100 years ago along with another individual named Dimitri Semelas. Her hope was to create a new, undistorted vehicle for the dissemination of traditional spiritual teaching so that a world of strong, free and morally conscience individuals might become something valued in the world. We believe that the powerful insights that came out of her creation are truly amazing in their capacity to empower change in one’s life and we hope to share at least some of that excitement with you here. This podcast is the 1st in our 3rd series of podcast discussions on the Insights of Marie Routchine/Dupre, founder of the Order of the Lilly and the Eagle. In this episode we present an overview of the three principal elements that characterize every person's being – Body, Soul, and Spirit or Body, the Emotional/Psychic nature, and the Mental nature in more conventional terms. From the Order’s perspective, each of these three hypostases must be clearly understood and categorized before an individual can productively begin any real work of self-transformation and it is important to begin observing ourselves with this structure in mind.
